Noah's Ark Part 2

I have finally got my ass into gear and taken some photos of the completed end of the attic. It is the favourite part of our house and the first room we have completed and not decided to change things!

Again, sorry about the photo quality - I really need to go and get a digital camera!

The last week

Between work, Tafe and Jon boy being home from the mines I haven't had the time to add anymore.

Charlotte and I have been making cushions with the thought that we might be able to sell them. Still not too sure what to do but here are some cushions I made in the last week:

On the public holiday Wednesday I decided I would paint over the orange in the hall - as a surprise for when Jon boy gets back from the mines. It took the whole day to cover the orange but it was so worth the effort!

Im now about to paint the little shelf unit. Hopefully I can get the whole hall complete before Thursday to show Jon boy that I'm not a "half a job Jenna"!

Noah's Ark Part 1

In May last year we finally got our asses into gear and started renovating the attic - aka "Noah's Ark". Jon boy decided that we should split it into 2 ends - his end and mine. Of course his end has been completed and mine has been left a construction site for a good 6 months!

Before:

This was our living room / study / dining room while we were doing up downstairs... it was pretty dirty!

The dividing wall:

Jonny wanted colour, I wanted white because its such a small space - so we decided to have a paint fight on the white paint to give it a bit of colour

More pics to come...

Master Bedroom

Since moving out of home I always wanted to copy the room I had at mum and dads. It was Indian / Moroccan theme. We decided that this would be the way to go in the master bedroom. It took us approx 5 months to do this room up (we tend to do things slowly!) and have only completed 90%. Once again, I have decided that I don't like it. Something isn't right and I want to start from scratch and ditch having a theme.

Sorry about the dodgy quality of the photos... we haven't had a working digital camera in a while so these were all taken on my phone.

My Weekend of Sewing

I spent most of my weekend behind the sewing machine and in spotlight. I decided that Indy really needed a new bed - he had a really good one (the we spent too much on) only to destroy it when he got bored. Since then he has been sleeping on a crappy, smelly old blanket. So I finally got around to making him a new bed!

He was so excited about getting a new bed that he jumped on it before I even had a chance to cut the fabric.

I think he loves his new bed.

I also made another cushion for the spare room!

Finishing Touches

We still dont have skirting in the lounge, dining and hall areas but we have been slowly filling the blank spaces and slowly changing things.

This is my favourite wall of the house. Took a bit of convincing to get Jon boy to agree to the shelves but finally won him in the end.

One of the flamingo croquet sticks I made for a Mad Hatters Tea Party we had.

Things are slowly coming together but we are getting there.

Painting, Patching and the Semi End Result

So, the following pictures are of us finishing off the loung room (the main parts - mind you we still, after 2 years dont have skirting on!) Looking back there is alot in this room that I would and wouldn't have done. We are slowly adding to it and will change it again probably when we get around to doing the kitchen.

Orange wall was a bad idea... I really think it needs to go.
