History Lesson

So I am currently researching Queen Anne furniture for a TAFE assignment. In particular Queen Anne wingback chairs. I have always been a fan of Queen Anne furniture. Its all about the legs - they are just so beautifully shaped!

I have a wingback that I'm wanting to do up but need to wait until I think I can tackle it with good results. They look good in just about any fabric too, and I'm too indecisive as to what I want to cover it in. Im thinking something funky like below - in a velvet!

In other news I went to an Auction just up the road. It was a BEAUTIFUL house that was built in the late 1800's! I would do anything to have that house - it went for 1.3 million!

Isn't it beautiful!

A bit of nothing-ness

Im super slack and haven't put up a post in a while. I have been flat out with assignments for Tafe (its not even the end of semester and I'm already flat out!). I have no idea how I managed to do it when I was working full time. No wonder I was loosing my mind back then!

Yesterday Jonny bought me a beautiful Wedgewood tea cup. Im in love!

Jonny has always wanted to open a bar with his brother and while looking at tea cups we decided it would be an awesome idea to open a bar that did high teas! There is nothing better then a good high tea!

In other news I recently joined Pinterest - Im hooked. It is way too easy to loose track of time on that site!

Easter

I hope everyone had a lovely easter. Mine was filled with assignments and hanging out with the family.

Mum made this beautiful chocolate cake for Easter Sunday with the family.

I unfortunately can't eat chocolate (which is stink - especially at Easter) but it was so good to have a week off TAFE to catch up on all my assignments.

Ombre

So I really love the Ombre look at the moment - whether it is on hair or on fabric. I have been wanting to try doing it to a table cloth but I'm scared of doing a crud job (found a DIY here). I would also like this for my hair but don't know how it would look with the 80's curl... I am yet to see it on someone with the same fluff as mine.

Thoughts...??

Must Have

If I ever got my hands on this picture I think I would pee my pants with excitement!

Its featured in the current issue of Lonny. I have loved it and admired it for a long time now.

For those who know me and Jonny will know we love pop art - Its pretty much the only art we have. PLUS I love Liz Taylor  so this picture is pretty much a win win in my eyes!

....

In other news its my baby girl Penny Lanes 5th Birthday today! I cannot believe we have had her this long - it feels like yesterday we picked her up from the breeder!

Bathroom Inspiration

We currently have the ugliest bathroom ever. Im pretty sure this song was written for it!
I'm loving the subway tiles at the moment so here are a few inspiration pics that I'm using for when we have the coin to do it up....

LOVE the mosaics!

Looking at these pictures makes me want to start tearing out our shitty bathroom today!.... but we all know this won't happen.

(Not too sure where these pictures are from as I have way too many saved and in the excitement of saving them haven't noted where they were from... sorry)

Lazy

Once again I have been lazy with this blog. I have gone back to work and TAFE and have slackened off on most other things.

So here are a few updates:

We finally got an art work for our hall way! (hooray!)

We found this smoking' hot art in the back of a clothing store - when we asked the girl working there where they got it she said it was a promotional art for one of their brands and we could buy it off them! This made our day! AND its perfect for the hall!

Secondly - Valentines day was last week BUT Jonny does not believe in this day so we have "Love Day" on the 15th. We generally just eat burritos on Love Day for dinner. BUT I thought I would do something a bit better then just burritos so I baked heart shaped Jaffa Friands - holy moly they were delicious!

But wait there is more - I made Jonny 2 big multicoloured love heart crayons! (he is a big kid at heart!) I found these babies here. They were super fun to make too!

On a side note - I have not yet sold anything :(. BUT am thinking of getting a bunch of items together and going to one of the many markets.
